I am directed by the Hong Kong Government to inform

you that in order to implement the policy of reorganising the composition of the Hong Kong Police force, it has been found necessary to abolish your post, and to retire you with effect

from 1st February 1948.

Pension or gratuity to which you may be eligible under the Police Pension Regulations will be calculated in due course The payment of outstanding salary (if any) will also be made.
